Taylor Lindsey Homes have been recognised in this year’s West Lindsey Quality in Construction Awards, winning the award for Best New Housing Development and Site Supervisor of the year.
The ‘Black Tie’ awards ceremony, held at The White Heather, Caenby Corner, was attended by more than 200 professionals from the building and construction industry, to celebrate the standards of local projects. Lincs FM radio presenter, John Marshall hosted the event.
Sonya Turner, Residential Property Manager, said: “It is always wonderful when our developments are recognised with an award, so to receive two awards on the same day is a real honour and we are all truly delighted”.
Minster Fields, winner of the Best New Housing Development is a development of 374 homes, ideally located on Wolsey Way in Lincoln for a range of shops, local amenities and highly regarded schools. There is a choice of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties in many different styles all with an exceptionally high standard of workmanship and specification. Standard features include a fully fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and extractor, integrated dishwasher and fridge freezer, fully tiled bathroom and en-suite (where applicable), heated towel rail, fire, alarm system, turf to front and rear gardens, single or double garage amongst many other additional items. Phase 2 is now well underway with our same range of properties available.
Competition for Site Supervisor of the Year was extremely high and Taylor Lindsey’s Mick Wray was delighted to receive this award seeing off fierce competition from other Site Managers. Speaking of his award, Mick said “I work with an excellent construction team at Minster Fields and the development’s success and this award couldn’t have been achieved without them. We all take great pride in our work and we all enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done”.
Chairman of the West Lindsey District Council, Cllr Angela Lawrence said: “I have been very impressed by the quality and standards of projects outlined, which must have made it difficult to judge. It’s really inspiring to see some of the work that has been carried out around the district. I would like to congratulate all the finalists and the winners”.
Mick Mattison, Regional Manager at Jackson Buildbase described the shortlisted projects as “top notch”. He said: “The standard of building in the area is just fantastic. It has been a pleasure and an honour to be associated with such a prestigious awards ceremony. I would like to thank West Lindsey District Council as a key partner and all local builders, architects and developers for their fantastic contributions”.
