Students from St George’s Academy, Sleaford have today been seeing first hand, how a housing development site is run and how the dwellings are constructed. The students, who are all currently undertaking a C A Level 2 in Bricklaying and Carpentry, along with their tutors, were given a tour of the Taylor Lindsey Development at Castle Park, King Edward Street, Sleaford by Alastair Twell of Taylor Lindsey Ltd and Geoff Bowler of Daniel Charles Construction Ltd, who have been constructing the footings.

Hopefully this will give the students a better understanding of the different stages of house construction, as they are seeing it in its physical form. More visits will be planned and they will be able to see most of the first dwellings from inception to completion, said Alastair Twell of Taylor Lindsey Ltd.

Castle Park is a development of two, three and four bedroomed dwellings on King Edward Street, Sleaford. In total, 142 dwellings will be constructed which will also includes a certain amount of Affordable Housing. The first dwellings are scheduled to be completed and ready for occupation by Autumn 2014.
