Official opening of Siemens at Teal Park

48Siemens, Lincoln’s largest private sector employer, has officially opened its new turbine service centre at Teal Park in Lincoln. Feilden House is a purpose built facility of 135,000 square feet and has been built to the highest possible specification with capacity for further expansion.

The new centre was opened by the daughters of the late Robert Feilden, after whom the building is named, together with senior executives from Siemens Service Division who came from all over the world to mark this occasion.

48-1The firm describes the facility as world class and is the first in Lincolnshire to be given a BREAM excellence rating for its environmental standards thanks to special roof panels and energy efficient lighting as well as electric car and cycle charging points.

The head of Siemens’ service division in Lincoln has been setting out his hopes for the future at the opening of the new turbine service centre at Teal Park. Neil Corner says the facility should enable them to expand the number of staff they already employ as work demands increase.

At 87.2 acres (35.3 hectares) Teal Park is the largest new Employment Park in the East Midlands. The fully serviced commercial development in the City of Lincoln has extensive frontage to Whisby Road and a direct dual carriageway link to the A46.
