New Home for Gym Club

Construction is underway on new premises for Lincoln Gymnastics Club.  The club has occupied their present premises on Sadler Road for many years and strong demand from young gymnasts has seen the club expand, now having a role in developing over 700 gymnasts from ages 1 to 19.

Taylor Lindsey, are constructing the new 11,000 sq ft building for the club on their Lincoln Business Park Development Site, which is just ‘across the road’ from the current premises. The new building is almost twice the size and will offer much improved facilities, more car parking and an excellent facility for the club to expand into and grow in the future.

Adrian Bower, Property Manager with Taylor Lindsey said, ‘Lincoln Gymnastics Club have been established tenants of ours for many years and we are very pleased to be able to provide them with new premises to help the club grow and develop into the future’.

Chartered Surveyors, Hodgson Elkington, negotiated the lease of the new building. Partner Dan Race said ‘It has been a real pleasure to work with the Club to put this deal together. Through our charity, The Junior Sports Programme Trust, we have a strong ethos of promoting sport to young people and this will be a fantastic facility for the Club’.

Joe Kitchen, Gymnastics Coach and Club Director said, ‘As a club and a community we are very excited to be moving LGC forward into a brand new gymnastics centre. For our gymnasts the increased space and scope provides an improved environment in-keeping with our continued competitive success at county, regional and national levels. This move will also better provide for our other disciplines; from pre-school up to adult and freestyle gymnastics. For all our members it is a great time to be part of Lincoln Gymnastics Club and I am sure the new facility will inspire many more years of success and growth’.

The new premises will be 10,560 sq ft, will occupy a site of 0.88 acres and will provide parking for 47 cars. Construction is underway with the steel frame erected, cladding fitted and the building is scheduled for completion in late October 2015.
